The riverside in the outskirts of cities can have windmills. Similarly cities on the banks of sea should also get windmills. This will resolve the electricity problem to some extent.

Domestic solar cookers should be commonly available in all local markets in every city. Similarly solar lanterns should also be easily available in local shops in all towns. This will lead to better sales and usage which will save lot of electricity and gas.

Canteens in govt offices and othe private offices, hotels should make better use of solar power. Large solar cookers should be developed for bulk cooking. this will save a lot of gas and electricity.

Buildings should be so constructed that use more of glass on the sides facing sun. This will allow more sunlight to pour in. Similarly the reception lounge of most buildings can have glass ceilings. This allow more of sun and light to get thus saving on electricity.

Respected PM, You are doing a wonderful job by keeping the public informed and guiding though MAN KI BAAT, most of us listen that carefully and try to adopt it our day to day behaviour. But we being human beings need repetition of the same at regular intervals. It seems that Swatch bharat Abhiyan is getting forgotten by few of us. One more important aspect for the country is optimum utilisation of resources including water, wood, fruits and vegetables etc.

Encourage corporates to do energy audit of their premises. This can be incentivised with some income tax deductions. For eg get energy audits done by govt recognised auditors and get income tax deduction of some amount or percentage based on energy efficiency points. Energy audit report format should be prescribed containing a column of suggestions to improve energy efficiemcy. This will give jobs to energy auditors and help reduce power burden.

Solar panels can also be installed alongside elevated highways too along with elevated metro tracks thereby building a huge solar infra without using even a single sq inch of land

Further the same rental system can be extended to households I.e. providing solar panels on rent just like metres and integrating it with net metering concept. Also there's huge amount of space being created by metro tracks. Solar panels can be installed on sides of elevated metro tracks.

Why not make it mandatory for all commercial buildings to cover a certain % of roof with solar panels and integrate energy so produced with grid. Further these panels can also be provided and installed by discoms just like energy metres. This will help improve generation of power by a lot.
