Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

5. Manufacturing of normal/Incandescent bulb should be banned. 6. Govt. should launch a transparent web portal and ask people to donate money and get tax rebate, to adjust money used to provide free LED bulb or subsidies provided for LED bulb. 7. Charity begins at home. For any initiative government first implement it at their homes, offices, streets, public places and ask the personnel to save energy by make a habit of put off lights, computers when not in use. Also aware public to be cautious about electric bill & energy savings through ad campaign, low energy products usage. If people for one hour keep aĺl power off at house. It'ĺl be a great save. Apply all over the country as energy campaign.

I don't know whether I'm right or wrong but I think that by using LED lights we are not only saving our electricity bill but we're also conserving energy which I think is the most essential component in today's life. I would suggest to government that they should try to lower down the prices of LED's so that everyone will be accessible to use LED lights. Jai Hind!
