Under UJALA scheme, the main objective is to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps preserve the environment. Efficient light bulbs, like LEDs, consume only one-tenth of the energy used by ordinary bulbs to provide the same or better light output. So, we ask you to suggest ways for promoting the use of LEDs on this open discussion forum.

As my opinion I would like to change people mind 1st. I have to tell them what your child will do in future if you can't save energy now. For that it's take some months to realize them. But through media we can share message everyday and everywhere in India. We have to do some public program to encourage people for join green energy. That plan will help by educated peoples and students. Then we can save a lot energy. Hope this message will help you. Thanks

Award those women in the family with the title #UJALA NAARI who replace their old bulbs with LED'S and give her reward for renovating or constructing her house or educating her children in better schools or so.This way women , who are considered to be decision makers at home would encourage their household to use more& more LED'S and also, there can be village wise competition as to which village has maximum no. of households using LED bulbs, and that viilage could be awarded #UJALAGAON title.

Every Middle & Secondery School Children must be given 4 Led Bulb under EESL scheme to promote Led use specially in Rural Areas. A PDF pumplet to encourage use for Solar/alternate Energy must be given. Aganwari workers can do this in their villages also. Panchayats can be responsible for monitiring of Scheme. Jai-Hind
