Electricity bills in houses in urban areas can be greatly reduced by reducing the use of AC's, TV's, etc. In most houses, people doesn't switch off devices like Computers & set-top-boxes & instead leaves them in the standby mode. This can result in electricity wastage. In most houses, refrigerators work throughout the day, even when they are not necessary.

I know Govt Need to go by various Land Acquisition process if plan to put big/huge solar power system. Solution to this.. hire roof of homes in urban area, provide them solar/wind kits and take back energy with paying them price for it. Best thing is: 1. No need to waste on Land cost. 2. Easy Cost effective setup. 3. Automated heat reduction in homes which will save cost of cooling the homes. 4. Long lasting solution. 5. 100% Environment Friendly solution.

can govt think of providing free solar kits to residential for generating there own power, grid load will be cut off to almost 75% if 1KW kit is provided to each home. normal uses of any residential is within 1KV of load. and this may cost aproximatly 60K-70K which will useful upto 15-20 years.

A report on household energy consumption figures state-wise should be published monthly in all daily newspapers with a request to citizens to minimize wastage of energy.

Is it possible to have a Cooling Air Grid as like Electric Power Grid? Bring the Cool air from hill stations to nearby cities using pipes as like big LPG pipeline projects. Electricity usage by big companies and houses for A/c usage and fan usage will come down, so there is a big savings in power savings. Like infra projects, this will give employment to lot of unskilled labors.
