Following steps must be taken to ensure the we are an energy conserving nation - 1. All the street lights should be converted to LED lights. Even in metro cities, several street lights use high power consuming bulbs. 2. The street lights must be equipped with smart sensors that will switch the lights off, automatically, during day time. 3. All the public places, bathrooms, etc must be equipped with smart devices that will switch off the lights, automatically, when not in use.

There should be competition in every appartment complex to bring down the energy & water consumptions per flat. This will automatically bring the required enabling of behavioural change in households and scociety. Based on the top achievers and methods adopted goes to goverment to implement the best practices as rules. This can be achieved by trail and error methods only. It depends on growth of society. If some money is also there to be won then you know interest of the society increases.

Behavior is the main parameter of us to develop our nation & save nature. It must be aligned for that. Always switch off TV, DVD, mobile charger, etc instead of sleep mode. Use energy efficient fan, LED light instead of CFL/Tube/GLS light, adequate rated house holds to save energy. Use low wattage LED lamp, while empty room/space. Change our mentality, think about nature, open our eyes, try to see developed India, save our nature. This is the time to change, otherwise we will be like dinosaur.

Request you to also look into the same.

Students are the best teachers, we need to make it mandatory in all classes in INDIA to write slogan to switch off lights when not in use near classroom board. Students must discuss 10 minutes in a week on this in class what they did in this week. I feel this will start a active mode in every household for switching off lights ............

Respected Modiji, I wish you a very successful and meaningful visit to China. Citizen over 70 years old should be given assistance while travelling, specially by Air. Special concession should be given in the fare as well as assistance while checking in, boarding and alighting from aircraft and if possible lounge facilities should also be provided.

There should be a display (size of a tablet pc) installed in every household, which will show the number of units of electricity (or preferably Rupees) currently being consumed every minute. 1) Take the cumilative units from the meter every minute. 2) Calculate change from last reading. 3) Convert it into Rupees for that number of units. 3) Display it!! For example, switching on a AC, when display changes from Rs 1/minute to Rs 3/minute, then it will definitely create an impact in t
