The digital world has become an essential part of our daily lives—whether it’s social media, online shopping, digital banking, or gaming. Along with these opportunities come new risks such as Investment Scam, Instant Loan, Part time job, Trading, Sextortion, Courier Fraud, Digital Arrest, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).

To build a safer online community, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to join the Digital Safety Dialogue. This open discussion is a space for sharing personal experiences, safety tips, and community practices that help protect against cyber threats. By learning from each other, we can strengthen digital safety awareness and promote secure online behavior for all.

Your inputs will help create a collective pool of ideas and practices that can be used to spread awareness and guide citizens towards building a Cybercrime-free Digital Bharat.

Let me post issues in digital safety, I came across, respective authorities may decide action. 1) Aadhar Card .. no one accepts masked card and details along with PAN Card are floating around. Any agency can fetch all investments of any body easily. 2) If we make card payments for some subscriptions, without asking continuation next year, still we receive some message, saying unless you hold, payment will assume acceptance and continue. Neither banks or even respected agencies don’t support positivity. 3) It appears that fraudulent agencies can avail “untraceable” SIM card easily. 4) I heard about fake Aadhar card and fake deals under one’s name, that means it’s easy process, without counter checks of eye scan or fingerprint. 5) It’s most easy to deal with different agencies when deal is in their favour, but most difficult to find grievance contacts, register complaint or expect fair resolution. It’s common with bigger banks or government departments, too. Even numbers don’t work.

Stay smart, stay secure, stay safe! ✨

Need a lot of improvements and awareness in common people, since maximum number of people are using digital payments. Also, many persons are becoming victims of digital arrest and they are not able to complaint due to their lack of awareness. So, Government should take more safety measures in this regard

#Propose a public awareness push focused on common scams (investment, instant loans, AEPS fraud, sextortion) using short regional-language video clips and shareable infographics.
#Recommend community-led digital literacy drives at schools, colleges, and SHG meetings that teach safe transaction habits, strong passwords, OTP hygiene, and recognizing social engineering.
#Advocate rapid-reporting kits: simple step-by-step guides and a single helpline/WhatsApp number for suspected fraud with clear escalation timelines.
#Encourage partnerships with banks, payment providers, and e‑commerce platforms for proactive blocking and refund pathways.

~Share survivor stories and practical do‑it‑today checklists to build trust and motivate behaviour change.
Thank You

safety begins with less sharing of data. tell every company to inform the people whose data they have. give them 3 days to delete the data once a request for deletion is sent to them. ensure that every purchase doesn't require personal data.
