Can we start implementing the system same as Britain for health? There every person get deducted some amount from their salary in the name of social security and government use that money to provide healthcare system for all. No private hospitals except dental and eye care. Every thing comes for free for UK citizen, Even those stays there for work and are from other countries they also get the all services free (doctor, checkups, hospitals etc) of cost except medicine.

I request the administration to develop a framework for career guidance. Today parents and students do not have career guidance in a systematic way. If the administration puts in efforts in career guidance the right candidates will be advised a field they could be interested in and excel in it.

The city of Chandigarh attracts a number of students not only from the northern India but from all over India. International students also come to the city for getting higher education. However, the higher education system in the city, although being very good, lacks a systematic support to achieve excellence. It is high time we should provide an institutional mechanism to these institutions rather than keeping them in the government control.

I think making Chandigarh College of Engineering and technology as NIT will be an excellent move. Chandigarh students share seats with Delhi students in their NIT, which is not good. Even Pondichery has NIT. Why cant Chandigarh have one. Even Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh have NIT. Why Chandigarh students should suffer?

an educated population is mandatory for services oriented export economy. My suggestions as follows
1. make teacher universities free i.e. education for teachers without any fees
2. guarantee employment and retirement incentives for teachers
3. increase R&D spending in teaching techniques successful in other countries (import foreign teachers if needed to share best practices)
4. teacher skill set review every few years not with tests but practical exams case scenarios of teaching students

About Art and Architecture Colleges- Students must be given the responsibility of areas of Chandigarh or nearby, which are lying in its shambles, to recreate and redesign them. This should be given as an assignment to the students as a part of the curicullum. this will have following benefits:
1. The area/ monument will be get back its glory.
2. Will give a chance to sudents to work in practical domain.
3. will save a lot of money of govt. otherwise spent for contractors etc.

About Engineering colleges- Funds for innovations and research work on colleges must be allotted. The college must be given responsibility to promote creative ideas of students by publicizing different technology related contests by govt. of India and others. It can be done easily as chandigarh has only 3 government engineering colleges.
