Do not treat the tea estate as vacant land. It is a surviving piece of history and greenery. Doon has already lost green cover by the tons and is setting a very bad example of how development should be in the capital of a new state.

More than enough damage to peaceful green pre-2000 Dehradun has been inflicted by thoughtless and unplanned 'development'. Rather than create a new Capital intelligently somewhere, as Doon was created from scratch a century back, the existing has been overwhelmed and ruined. Dehradun should be left with whatever is now remaining and not be further destroyed by idle minds.

Instead of developing north, south, east or west.....The city core part needs to get a face lift first.........what we need is a good central park where the city can breath, a business hub for boosting city economy and roads to de-congestion of traffic.........answer of all this is in the proposal ...... https://www.facebook.com/forsmartcitydehradun/

Dear all, citizens of Doon."Greenfield Appx.350 acres of vacant land at Tea estate". This is mentioned under the list of choices, how a "Doonite" wants his/her cityto be "Smart". 350 acres of vaccant lant at tea state!!!. Its pretty shocking!!. That 350 acre of vacant land at tea state has 11000-12000 " Green Trees".(UK) State govt. has gone somewhere out of the track regarding this "Smart City Concept".Please retrofit my existing "Doon".Don't destroy its green cover. Go for "Green+Smart Doon"

Please do not keep destroying the green cover and beauty of Dehradun under the pretext of development.
Please develop/retrofit the existing city or portions of it. That will show the way for the remaining portions to improve also.

My suggestions:
1. Existing city be developed as a smart city instead of creating a separate smart city. Which would defeat the whole purpose of smart city.
2. IMA, Doon Hosp, FRI, Clock tower, Gandhi park, parade ground, railway station, ISBT, be made worth seeing places as these are supposed to be mirror of the city.
3. Vidhaansabha, secretariat, MLA Hostel, Govt offices, be taken to outer places.

I am a physically chalanged student and i suffer from Lack of transportation, first of all it is a important problem is Dehradun. In this city People have enough money to enjoy but facility is not available. There is lack of hitech transportation in dehradun. Population in dehradun increasing day by day but this city is as a old way like small roads, very few trains is available in a day. But if dehradun is under smart city there will be the new way of living...
