Govt should make it mandatory to instruct company to recruit candidate from certified consultancy firm and discourage to do it on their own.

Pl understand free service has no value, and very high fees charged by some counsellers today----quality not worth it, besides only a few can afford. So a reasonable charge /affordable charge will work.

A National portal in English will not work, sub portals needed in languages like Bengali/marathi/telugu/kannada/malayalam oriya/assamese etc.if we really wish to hel the real India. Dntbe fooled by large internet connections. Max youth use it for Facebook , Moves and Music---saying from practical experience with school kids.

Required a Career Centre to cover 3-4 adjoining districts. Lot of effort in interacting with schools/colleges/industries etc. Idea has ot be sold and delivered to the user with results. Will you find 3000 sq ft in Azamgarh/ Guntur/ Burdwan/ Surendranagar/ Bikaner. Do you actually need it. Do you know cost of 3000 sqft office space in Lucknow/Jaipur/Ahmedabad/Pune/Trichy/Chandigarh ?

I ( BITS Pilani IIM A graduate ) have been doing career counselling for many years to individuals. school, colleges even while working for corporate sector. Quality more important than physical infra size. Whoever suggested 3000 sq ft must have seen govt employment exchanges with huge areas and staff but no output. Pl review space requirement to 500-750 sq ft, otherwise it may fail like RTE--no focus on earning only infra.

Guideline for establishment of Career centre says space of 3000 sq ft.( no support for rent). To be realistic a good centre can be set up in a space of 500-750 sq ft to start with. Practocally it will be difficult to find 3000 sq ft space in good location for Centre ( or prohibitively expensive)owner cost that is free. Focus should be on delivery of service and not space. This is age of IT, not physical space.

Based on our experience, we felt that there are no career counseling centers even in reputed colleges and high schools. Using our experience we have come out with few suggestions in setting up career counseling centers as well as sustaining them in the long run.

Respected Sir, today I had gone to Post Office to collect interest of my MIS deposite. After two hours standing in line with many retired men it is told by post staff that now time is out and computers are closed. To avoid such type of recurances please directed to post dept to issue ATM cards to depositers so that old people can withdraw interest easily.

career centres have to encourage candidates realize their strong points(and avoid weak areas) for profession and subsequently develop their knowledge in that area. The career should be the one that is driven for economic advantages but rather the ease with which person can find scope for future development and improve skills in that area. For example: Person of good physique can try which sport is better for him/her.
