The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) sent a reference dated 22nd August 2019, seeking recommendations of TRAI on reserve prices for 283 cities (260 new + 23 existing), under FM Phase-III Policy.

Accordingly, this Consultation Paper has been prepared to seek the comments/views of the stakeholders on the issues related to estimation of the reserve prices for auction of FM Radio channels.

As part of the consultative process, the Consultation Paper has been uploaded on the TRAI website. Written comments on the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 6th November 2019. Counter-comments, if any, may be submitted by 13th November 2019.

Auction of FM Radio Channels 1) FM Radio channels should be more popularized in the villages so that they can avail of the information about the weather forecast, major policies & schemes of the government which can directly affect their lifestyle. 2) Local government such as panchayat can work in establishing "Public FM Radio" communication for its community in community spaces in the villages. #MyGov #FMRadioChannels

Auction of FM Radio Channels Union territories such as Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, the North Eastern States, and Island territories should have vast varieties of the option of channels so that they can form their own opinions and not get radicalized by some targeted news or pieces of information.

रेडियो से भारत की 80% जनसंख्या मनोरंजन के साथ- साथ समाचार का लाभ उठाती है तथा दूर दराज तक इसकी सीमा है ,विज्ञापन से ऍफ़ एम् रेडियो को भी आमदनी होती है !

mera chinta sirf itna hai ki aaj ke baad Desh me ek nayee soch ka janam hoga to aise me Desh ka mahoul ka sahi hona bahut jaroori hai ,jo ki kanoon baiwastha aur aapsi bhai chare ko badhwa mile aisa mahoul banana hoga. Aur galat niyat rakhane walo se kanooni roop se nipta Jana chahiye.

10. FM intervention from Farm to plate journey- Farmers need right info at right time from agri inputs to sowing to selling of agri produce. Dedicated tine during rabi and kharif as per catchment area of commodities could be broadcasted through FM. Even while doing work they can listen actively. Post listening engagement could be further integrated with various govt. programmes.
