The only way of stopping begging is to make it punishable crime. Stopping begging will also significantly decline kidnapping of children. To stop begging we will have to detain, identify and maintain database of beggars. This will also prevent many crimes and entry of illegal immigrants. Only constraint is place to detain them and train them for better living. But if it is declared crime, it will be a one time exercise.

Many times I found that the begging has became habit of some beggars. They find begging more easy than education and working. Its important to inculcate the feeling of self respect in these persons. Beggar Children are frighten to go to schools so they must be taught that schools are for better development and there is nothing to fear about. A programme to educate these people must be initiated.

sir i mostly wander many places and saw the large number beggars collected together and eat in open area and found in filthy condition I think about them lot that why not any scheme initiate by me/gov. to improve their condition, why not we give them education, employment, any small work, why not we make understand them, and also involve them "swachh Bharat Mission" rather than giving them alms which make them slothful, and they habitual begging alms, if they are paralysis then give them..J Hind

There should be some kind of scheme where in beggars be provided with employment opportunity. Once they start earning they would become little bit self dependent which will in turn improve zeal to live and live better. Govt should launch some kind of schemes which can empower them. There are lot of poor people in India and it feels very bad when we see small children without cloths on road in harsh summer and winters.

to eliminate beggary public should support beggars by giving them employment in their organisation or as house hold servants after checking beggars reliability and honesty.

In my opinion, there are a number of constraints in eliminating beggary. These are;1)Poverty,2)Mafia Organisations treating beggary as their profession,3)Uncaring by us and govt.,4)Lack of programs for their uprising,5)Lack of scopes to beat their hunger,6)Our mindset.

The mindset of those giving alms to the beggars should chnage as they feel they have done a bit to reduce the negative karma by offering a small change to the beggars Instead, the amount they wish to donate should be channelised effectively through quality and good working NGOs for judicious utilsation of resources.
