GIFT has proved itself as a torch bearer for world-class infrastructure in India. It must continue with expansion of the infrastructure network in line with city's development.
But Smart City is not just about capital-intensive technological solutions. Focus on services and facilities that will simplify the life of the people and improve quality of life must form an integral part of the Smart City solution. So GIFT must take up projects of Tapas Udyan and Public Transport asap.

GIFT City needs to have more inclusive development by having Residential facilities and Retail mall. It is good to see that Multi level Building is coming up which will take care of the parking requirement of existing occupants of the city in the DTA area. Thumbs up to the other social infrastructure development being taken up i.e. Lake Development, Amphitheatre and green space development.

Recycling plastic is big problem of Govt. I have one suggestion. In order to make smart city road more durable the Govt. can use the Recycle bottles, chocolate wrapper, plastic bags, broken plastic material which is in waste form. The plastic can be melted along with Tar, asphalt and can be used in construction of road this will help to create more durable roads & will extend the life or Roads, even potholes can be fixed. check this you tube link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MbgU7Ox4jZM

'Smart City' is a great step to address industrial growth and create employment opportunities in our country. Just a suggestion from my side -
Maximum population in our country lives in rural areas (grams, villages, etc.) with very little access to basic facilities. Additionally, 90% of India's agriculture is dependent of our rural areas. So instead of just developing 'SMART CITIES' can we please bring up a new initiative for identifying and developing 'SMART VILLAGES'?
