Equitable growth is essential to sustain higher GER rates and hence what kinds of affirmative action could be suggested to reduce gender and social disparities in here.

The problem with the teachers is they are really undereducated and less knowledgeable. Due to reservations and influence of political parties good teachers aren't recruited in the government schools. When those students grow and search for job, due to poor knowledge attained from the existing teachers, lack of job opportunities force them to teaching job instead. Thus this becomes a cycle where we remain an uneducated society. Union Govt needs to stop this trend.

Gender and Social gaps can be bridged by supporting socially relevant programmes like Gender and Development Studies. Discipline like gender and development studies emerged by challenging the existing development paradigm and feminist developed frameworks and theories to include gender issues in the public polices. Gender and Development Studies addresses the practical and strategic needs of all. It stresses the mainstreaming of policies and programmes at all levels.

A significant way of bridging the gender gap through education is to promote and support academic programmes(especially in higher education)in the areas of Women's Studies and Gender Studies. These emerging disciplines should be strengthened and supported at the university level to bring about gender sensitization, gender equity and progressive understandings of gendered identities which question existing patronizing welfare models.
