Tourism can be promoted if we can make "tourism capital" on the rotational basis every 6 months or so, this way all regions of Bharat will get visibility and promotion. Policies to be made where tourist will get special discounts on visas & with some lucrative offers visiting tourism capital.

Existing Muzrai Department for temples to superseded, instead Individual Authority to be formed, monitored by ministry & Authority to be given task to collect income and used only develop the local area more on infrastructure of local area like building bridges, roads, schools, water projects etc & extra funds transferred to near Auth. As of now income from these are taken by govt. & how is utilized no info. e.g. Kukke Subrahmanya the connecting bridge will be under water in heavy rainy season.

indian tourism promotion k liye mass advertisemen across the world karna hoga and that too in accordance with the general taste of a parlicular country. ex. Nepal k logo me India ko popular karna hai to something related to spirituality, religion dikhana hoga but at the same time if we want to promote Indian tourism in america then spirituality and religion may be useless in general.through ambassadors to India we can know that what there people in general like to see.

We have trains connecting tourist destinations. However, why not have a cruise system as well. Especially for pilgrimage. Start with Somnath to elephanta to goa to udupi to gokarna to guruvayur to kanyakumari to rameshwaram to mahablipuram to srikakulam to puri to kolkata. Include non pilgrimage routes also. Diu to Lakshdweep to Andaman. Central govt arranges the water system, state govt. handles the inland tourist travel.

Vehicles on road should be made to communicate with electronic transponders installed on key roads as done in Singapore in time bound phased manner. All toll collection points which are traffic bottlenecks may be withdrawn. Cars owners may be periodically charged on basis of road usage. It will enhance revenue collection, eliminate corruption, save traffic bottlenecks and give authority opportunity to reduce toll rates without effecting revenue. Polluting vehicles need to be monitored/penalized
