The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

Stop broker systems everywhere. Make systems easy. Main problem of farmers is they do not know whom to sell their products.

Biomass energy is widely available all over villages. Organic waste in the form of dead leaves, grass and trees, animal carcasses are available in abundance and can be used to produce biomass energy.

our dependence on foreign energy and the impact it is having on our economy, and the potential threat to our national security. Instead of just worrying about the problem--we can reduce our dependence - through Bio-mass energy

PM Sir...even after 67 years of independence ..we have to think about providing electricity...I would suggest that You should focus much on Solar panel system to each village separately ...it's a one time investment and the poor people shouldn't have to pay for that in future as well....It is economical as well as reliable...

Dear Prime Minister Ji, The Cities and Villages in the history of our ancestors build in 2500 BCE like Dwaraka etc., but now this is going to be copied from them in another country, this is shame to all Indians. We have lot of technologies available in our country to development of all cities and villages, we can spend little bit of amount through state and central governments as a present taxation policies to smart villages, and as the archetype of the world we can not.
