The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

In this scheme the electricity should be generated either from Solar or Wind mills. A small wind mill should be developed and installed on the roof top s that it can generate electricity for the house. Similarly Solar panel for a house can be developed and installed in roof top. Each village should have Hospital, Drinking water, Cemented road, Drainage system, Toilets in each house, STP, Wi-fi, Post office, Bank, School, Most important a govt office to maintain.

due to disturbance created MPs in rajya sabha on issue of religious conversions, it appears, a number of important economic bills, like GST, real estate regulation, land acquisition amendment, etc. may not be passed. religious conversions of hindus to non-hindu faiths, due to political coercion/patronage, are happening in country, since beginning of 8th century. a law, for debarring such disturbing MPs from seeking re-elections is required now. SAGY will also be victim to party politics

Just adopting a village is not enough. There should be a clear cut time frame and clear instructions on what minimum is to be done. A MP can't take five years and leave the village as such. He should be asked strictly to complete work in one year and take another village next year. Those who fail should have their names displayed on the Parliament website as defaulters. As someone suggested, it should be started with ruling party MPs.

State govt treat inter state borders as if it belongs to other country. We can see the bad condition of roads infrastructure facilities near the state borders villages. State authorities pass a message that this area belongs to our state and across border is a different area. Local residents also start behaving accordingly and also suffering from division. Request all states to consider 4-5 km near either side of border area as part of their area.

Hon'ble PMji request you to inform all states to take care of inter state borders. Civil authorities near border villages always transfer the blame on other state for roads municipal schools basic facilities etc. Eg MP rajasthan border villages from ratlam to banswara especially lack of roads from MP side for last 10 km, no basic facilities in school's near border area we should believe that all border villages are part of India and not outside country. Request your push for the same.thanks

Our village road is like riding on stones of old road. Panchayat president is one political party and mandal president is one party. From past 5 years our village is struggling like anything because of these bad roads and lack of communication between officials and ego's. Could you please suggest to adopt my village? yadavuru -522313, Guntur district, AP.
