The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

It would be better if our Prime Minister had tried to resolve Banker's problem of lacking a reasonably equal pay and better work conditions even after the successful implementation of PMJDY. We Bankers are struck between IBA and UFBU itself. Please dismiss these both useless organisation and include us in pay commission. Please Sir..... You can know from from the social media that we are being used by our Unions for strikes to earn from late settlement. Your Bankers need your help Sir. Jai Hind

Dear Sir, The skills are not the part of the curriculum for which training is given. But by more practical implementations from the educational institutions can develop it. Also a worrying factor is that Private Institutions think hard to do so. If Government starts developing more training institute with a sure recruitment then it is possible that training and jobs are satisfied.

Dear Sir,My thoughts of today's development in Maharashtra.I am not in favor of BJP's decision of taking NCP backing. Its morally not right after hearing Modi-ji speeches during campaigning.I am aware of shiv sena's hard stand but its better to bend then break.Ego of Mr Amit Shah and Uddhav T should not come in between the promise and principles of BJP. I take pride in having a intuition and 6th sense, which tells me a slide in popularity and downfall of BJP is imminent.Arrogance is downfall.

As mentioned Onsite training is most effective rather than class room training, we also need to invite specialized trained Miners from foreign countries to teach new & effective way of mining.
