However passengers tend to carry inflammable and dangerous materials like firecrackers, petroleum products, explosives etc., resulting in fire accidents and loss of human life.

People must be made aware of the negatives of such acts . Incentives must be declared for reporting such incidents of fellow passengers carrying any inflammable substance. Instructions regarding the same along with the rewards offered must be fixed in every coach. Thrust must be on keeping the identity of the informer undisclosed. Only when people collectively step up to counter this threat that such incidences can be reduced .

The security systems in certain vulnerable railway stations are just for name. They are actually not operational. Strict vigilance must be there in the railway stations much like the airports.

Education is key. Railways need to carry out extensive campaign on root causes of accidents, how to avoid accidents and Dos and Don'ts. These campaigns should be launched in stations, trains and media. Railway smart phone application must be launched and passengers must be empowered to give information on unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to Railways.

People carry all sorts of harmful substances in trains because they know that they can get away with a little bribe. In Reserved sleeper class outsiders force entry and occupy the reserved seats in day and night. Railway police don't take any action. Toilets are dirty and stinking. Crimes in running trains are rising. All these are challenges to Railway Ministry.

sir,
I suggest to scrap 2 sitting facility trains for 100kms and above and replace them with sleeper coaches. the cost of running sleeper and 2nd sitting coaches are same only. whereby revenue can be increased and also sleeper facilities also can be given to them.
Scrap general compartments and introduce second sitting instead of them. let all public can enjoy the sitting facilities. Upgrade all the coaches to air conditioned one and put reasonable fare to them. Upgrade the standard coaches

The design of railway coaches are to be such that it does not get affected , like burning etc. Further the discipline in passengers are to be inculcated through audio system, to be provided inside the coaches which will remind the Dos and Donts repeatedly while the passengers are travelling. The rules are to be stringent and to be implemented with out any discrimination . If any passenger is found carrying the inflammable tickets ,his or her PAN or any identification should be registered with TT

Dear Sir,

I would like to bring to your kind notice that we are getting poor quality products in railways procurement which we can get the best quality by puuting the online tendring in zonal offices

as on today the tendering process of railways it is very difficult to enter to of new vendors as policy of tendring in railways is opaque

To open this tendring process can railways decentralize the purchase and procurement's and can also start on line tendring process as done in Coal auctio

The build quality of the Railway compartments is deplorable. Its struck in 1947. There is NO quality in either the build nor there is proper maintenance.

Why is that the Railways CONTIUNE to use inflammable material in compartment construction? Why cant it use modern flame resistant plastics?? The compartments look uninviting. Why cant Railways look at coach construction in Europe or Japan to better the coach interiors? Its not rocket science at all.

Hightime situation changes
