As a part of the series to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of volunteers selflessly contributing their skills and efforts to MyGov, we present the experiences of four volunteers who have volunteered with MyGov

MyGov launched the much awaited and exciting contest for the Prime Minister’s Mobile App on 4th March, 2015 in collaboration with Google. Over the period of the Ideation Phase of the contest (Phase-I), which was held between 4th March to 23rd March 2015, over 9,000 entries were received.

Food Corporation of India has been playing a vital role in ensuring Food Security in the country by procuring foodgrains from farmers at Minimum Support Prices and ensuring its storage and preservation as also movement of foodgrains across States to meet the requirements of National Food Security Act, Public Distribution System and Other Welfare Schemes. FCI alongwith State Agencies have a combined storage capacity of almost 73 million tonnes. FCI has 1841 depots which ensure proper storage and quality of foodgrains.

The objective of this Group is to formulate a new Education Policy for the country through an inclusive, participatory and holistic approach.

In a bid to boost innovations from entrepreneurs in ICTE domain, Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) has rolled out SIP-EIT a Scheme to Support International Patent Protection in Electronics and IT for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Technology Start up Units.

Department of Land Resources (DoLR) invited all Resident Indians to participate in three separate Contests on MyGov to 1. Design a Logo, Give Name and Tagline for the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) 2. Design a Logo and coin a Tagline for “e-Dharti” - National Land Records Modernization Programme (NRLMP), and 3. Design a Logo and giving Tagline for Neeranchal - World Bank Assisted National Watershed Management Project.

Noted social activist Michael Moore was at his pithiest best while summing up the essence of democracy: "Democracy is not a spectator sport, it's a participatory event. If we don't participate in it, it ceases to be a democracy."

On the occasion of 125th anniversary of foundation day, National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture organised two contests 1) Designing a logo for125th Anniversary Celebrations 2) An emblem for National Archives of India with a tagline The announcements for the contest were made on My Gov portal and other sources like facebook page and website of the department. Further, eminent art colleges of the country, National Institute of Design and empanelled firms for the preparation of archival exhibitions in the department were also requested to participate in the contest. Both contest received remarkable response and 262 entries were received for the logo while 1310 entries for the Emblem with a tagline.
